Ecolab ERGs to Receive Top Honours at 2024 Diversity Impact Awards
Pride and E3 make prestigious list of employee resource groups leading diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.
This year marks an extraordinary achievement for Ecolab, as the company’s Pride and E3 Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) have been recognized among the Top 25 ERGs at the 2024 Diversity Impact Awards. In addition, Ecolab’s overall ERG programme has earned a place on the prestigious Top 10 Enterprise-Wide ERG Award list.
These honours highlight the exceptional contributions of Ecolab’s ERGs in driving diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, underscoring its ongoing commitment to cultivating an inclusive workplace culture for all associates.
The Diversity Impact Awards, powered by the Global ERG Network, annually honour ERGs that demonstrate exceptional results in promoting organizational change, cultivating workplace culture and advancing DEI goals. The awards will be presented at the Global ERG Network Conference, taking place from 23-25 October in Charlotte, NC.
Celebrating ERG Leadership and Impact
Ecolab’s diverse range of ERGs drive meaningful progress in advancing DEI strategies and fostering an inclusive environment. Their leadership sets new benchmarks for engagement and innovation, promoting personal growth and contributing to business success.
The Pride ERG supports Ecolab’s LGBTQ+ associates and allies by promoting visibility and advocacy within and outside the organisation. Pride has created a robust support network that connects members with external LGBTQ+ organizations, builds community and amplifies LGBTQ+ voices, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment among associates.
The E3 ERG empowers female leadership by championing the recruitment, development and retention of female talent. Through leadership opportunities and mentoring programmes, E3 fosters an equitable environment that supports the growth of women leaders, contributing to Ecolab’s success. As a global network, E3 advocates for positive change and provides professional development, ensuring all associates can thrive.
“At Ecolab, we understand that our Employee Resource Groups are not just about representation; they are vital to creating an environment where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work,” explains Dexter Davis, senior vice president of Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Ecolab.
“This recognition by the Diversity Impact Awards reflects our collective commitment to fostering a culture of belonging. By embracing the diverse identities and experiences of our associates, we empower each other to drive innovation and contribute to our shared success,” he adds.
Organizational Support for ERGs
Strong support from senior leadership is vital to Ecolab’s ERGs. Leaders recognize that fostering an inclusive culture is both a moral and business imperative, actively championing these groups to integrate DEI strategies into the organizational framework and align them with business objectives.
For example, members of the Black Leaders Forum and the Executive Women’s Forum have played a crucial role in facilitating open dialogues with ERG members and Ecolab leadership, helping to communicate progress and key messages. This commitment to inclusivity reflects Ecolab’s dedication to advocacy and support for diverse voices within the organisation.
These open lines of communication enable Ecolab leadership to acknowledge and celebrate ERG milestones during meetings and company-wide gatherings, ensuring their contributions are recognized and reinforcing the importance of ERGs in promoting an inclusive workplace.
A Commitment to Continued Growth and Inclusion
While these recognitions are important milestones, it marks just one step in the organisation's ongoing journey. Ecolab is dedicated to advancing the growth and development of its ERGs, ensuring that diversity, equity and inclusion remain integral to its business strategy and overall success.
