Ecolab Inc., a global sustainability leader offering water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services that protect people and the resources vital to life, today announced it has once again been recognized for leadership in performance and transparency on climate change and water security by global environmental non-profit CDP, earning a place on its annual ‘A List’.

Ecolab secured leadership level rankings, earning an A ranking for climate and an A- ranking for water security. This marks the sixth consecutive year of being recognized by CDP for water security leadership and the fourth consecutive year for climate leadership.

“Earning a spot on CDP’s A List for water security and climate once again underscores Ecolab’s commitment to sustainability as a cornerstone of our business strategy,” said Emilio Tenuta, Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer, Ecolab. “This prestigious recognition not only demonstrates our efforts to enhance transparency and tackle environmental challenges but also highlights how these initiatives are essential for driving our continued growth.”

A record 22,000+ corporations were scored by CDP in 2024, representing two-thirds of global market capitalization, 85% of the S&P500 and 93% of the FTSE 100. By earning a spot on the A List, Ecolab is in the top 1% of companies disclosing to CDP.

A detailed and independent methodology is used by CDP to assess these companies, allocating a score of A to D- based on the comprehensiveness of disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks and demonstration of best practices associated with environmental leadership. Disclosure and the A List play a key role in keeping companies on a journey of continuous environmental improvement, according to CDP.
